Fire and Flood Damage Restoration

Fire and flood damage can turn a normal home or business upside down in a few hours. PFC Restoration Ltd helps property owners across Portsmouth and Hampshire get back to normal, from the first emergency visit through to drying, cleaning and repair. If you are dealing with a claim, we explain each step in plain English and keep the work properly recorded. Our fire and flood damage restoration services include:

  1. Fire Damage Restoration: We assess the damage, make the property safe, and restore what can be saved. Read more about what happens after a house fire.
  2. Smoke and Soot Cleaning: Smoke travels well beyond the room where a fire started. We remove soot and the smell that stays behind. See our guide to smoke damage cleaning.
  3. Flood and Water Damage Restoration: Whether it is a burst pipe, an overflowing appliance or a flooded property, we deal with standing water and the damage it leaves behind.
  4. Drying and Dehumidification: We use professional drying equipment to remove moisture from walls, floors and structure, which helps stop damp and mould from setting in.
  5. Repairs and Reinstatement: Once everything is dry and clean, we repair and put your property back as it was.

Working With Your Insurance

If you are claiming on your buildings or contents insurance, the way the damage is recorded and repaired matters. We take photographs and notes as we work, explain what is needed and why, and can work with your insurer or loss adjuster so you are not left chasing paperwork. Our guide to fire and flood insurance claims explains how the process works and how a restoration company can help.

  1. Get in touch quickly: The sooner we visit, the more we can protect. Early drying and cleaning limits further damage.
  2. Tell your insurer: Let them know what has happened. We can help you understand what they will ask for.
  3. We survey and record the damage: Photographs, moisture readings and a clear written scope of work.
  4. We restore and repair: Drying, cleaning and repairs carried out and recorded from start to finish.
